Ed was appointed to the Retina Australia Board in 2023 and serves as Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with more than 20 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in accounting, finance and governance.
He is currently Senior Vice President of Strategy and Commercial at Seeing Machines, a global safety technology company listed on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM. In this role, Ed leads corporate strategy, commercial operations, finance and corporate development, driving growth and profitability across automotive, fleet and aviation sectors.
Previously, Ed was Group Chief Financial Officer and a Board Member of Interspan Group, a global engineering, design and construction business. He has also held senior commercial and corporate development roles with NSW Ports, Fletcher Building and Brambles, and is recognised for building high-performing teams and best practice financial operations.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. He is committed to supporting Retina Australia’s financial sustainability, growth and fundraising initiatives to drive greater impact for the inherited retinal disease community.
