Backing the researchers turning hope into sight.
This year, we’re inviting you to be part of something powerful.
Since 1989, Retina Australia has invested more than $6.8 million into over 150 research projects focused on inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) — helping drive discoveries that are changing what’s possible for people and families living with progressive vision loss.
Today, there are more than 60 clinical trials underway globally across gene therapies, RNA therapies, cell-based therapies and other emerging approaches. Behind every one of these trials is years of dedicated research, collaboration and persistence.
While there is still much work to do, real progress is happening.
This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 to continue supporting the next generation of IRD research in Australia.
Your donation will help fund the early-stage research that makes future breakthroughs possible — supporting researchers working to better understand disease progression, improve diagnosis, develop treatments and ultimately move closer toward cures.
For families living with inherited retinal diseases, research represents more than science.
It represents hope.
Together, we can help accelerate the future of retinal research and ensure Australians living with IRDs are not left behind.
Donate today and help back the research shaping tomorrow.
